My name is Nathan, and my hometown is Gilbert Arizona. After graduating high school, I volunteered for a service opportunity in Bangkok, Thailand. While I was there, I developed a passion for teaching, became fluent in Thai, and even gained some experience teaching English a couple hours a week as part of my work. Because of this experience, I decided to study TESOL, teaching English to speakers of other languages. I began my studies at BYU Hawaii in 2021, and quickly graduated by 2023. During that time, I worked for over a year as a speech tutor for speakers of other languages. I also gained some classroom experience coteaching a 7th grade English language arts class at Kahuku High School. Now that I have a degree in TESOL Education, I am currently pursuing a MA in TESOL at BYU which involves teaching ESL classes.
